A Henderson County Sheriff’s Deputy was arrested over the weekend on assault and unlawful imprisonment charges, according to WFIE.
Gary Jones, 40, was arrested on charges including fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), second-degree unlawful imprisonment, and harassment – no injury, according to the Henderson Detention Center website. WFIE reported that the Henderson Police Department was the arresting agency.
He was booked and released Sunday from the Henderson County Detention Center on a $500 cash bond.
A Sheriff’s Department official said they have no comment on the incident.
Jones was also separately named in a lawsuit earlier this year by a woman who said she was shot while she was a passenger in a law enforcement vehicle pursuit.
