A car stop led to an arrest for narcotics and weapons in Evansville recently.
Evansville Police detectives with the Street Crimes Unit stopped a car in the area of Washington and Hebron Avenues. The driver of the vehicle, Noah K. Pryor, 24, informed detectives that he did not have a valid driver’s license and he had a gun in the vehicle.
Pryor was removed from the vehicle, and handgun was recovered near the driver’s seat. Pryor also admitted to having narcotics on him.
The sole passenger of the vehicle, Caleb N. Collins, 29, was asked to exit the vehicle and also admitted to having a handgun and narcotics on him. Detectives recovered another handgun, marijuana, methamphetamine, prescription narcotics and paraphernalia from the vehicle.
Pryor was arrested and preliminarily charged with Unlawful Carry of Handgun, Possession of methamphetamine with enhancement, possession of marijuana, operating without ever receiving and operation of vehicle with expired plates.
Collins was arrested and preliminarily charged with dealing methamphetamine with enhancement, unlawful carry of handgun, possession of schedule drug, dealing marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
