What is your name? My name is Noah Robert Mills
What office are you seeking? Magistrate District 5
Please provide your family background. My parents are Robby and Vickie Mills, Fiancé Reese Crafton, Brother and Sister-in-law Caleb and Hannah Mills, and sister Chelsea Mills.
What is your educational background? Graduate of Henderson County High School 2014, Attended Georgetown College and studied Biology and Chemistry for 4 years, Attended the University of Southern Indiana and studied Business and Entrepreneurship for 2 years.
Have you been elected to a political office previously? This is my first time running for office.
What is your professional background? I am the third-generation owner of Nu-Look Cleaners in downtown Henderson. Since returning home from college, I have successfully expanded our family’s small business into a 12-store regional operation across Western Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
Why are you running for office?
I am running for office because over the last few years I have watched local government and wasn’t satisfied with decisions being made that I believed were not in the best interest of Henderson. As a young individual who plans to live in Henderson and raise my family in Henderson for the next 50 years, I felt the need to get involved. I believe I can be the voice of the younger generation of Hendersonians and help make decisions that are going to be beneficial to the future of Henderson County.
If elected to office what would be your top three goals?
1. My number one goal is to listen to residents of Henderson County about decisions that are going to shape the future of Henderson County. I feel as though this hadn’t occurred as well as it should have from our local elected officials.
2. My second goal would be to use our counties financial position to champion responsible growth that creates jobs and brings new industries to Henderson County. With the second phase of the I-69 corridor and bridge set to be complete in the next 4 years, we must pursue infrastructure that will accommodate this once in a generation project.
3. My third goal will be to keep the cost of living in Henderson County as low as possible. This means keeping taxes low and spending of taxpayer money under control.
Why should people vote for you?
As a lifelong resident and business owner in Henderson County I care deeply about our community. The next 4 years are very critical for Henderson County. Decisions being made are going to impact our community for generations to come and I want to make sure the younger generation who lives in Henderson County has a voice. I will listen to the constituents of District 5, be an active participant on the fiscal court, and champion responsible growth for Henderson County. I humbly ask for your vote for Magistrate District 5.
