One person has been arrested following a weekend shooting in Evansville.
Evansville Police Department officers were dispatched to the area of Franklin Street and Lafayette Avenue at just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday for shots fired in the area.
Officers located an adult male victim near Governor and Michigan streets who had been had been shot multiple times. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim and a witness were able to identify Seaan M. Bell, 22, as the suspect.
Investigators learned that Bell and the victim were involved in a physical altercation before Bell shot the victim.
Bell then fled the scene on foot. Bell was later located near his residence and taken into custody.
The firearm Bell used was also recovered and determined to be stolen. Bell is charged with aggravated battery, theft of a firearm and unlawful carry of a firearm.
