OWENSBORO, Ky. — Movi Vault, a new subscription streaming platform from Kentucky Sound Stage founders Jeremy Winton and Kristi Kilday, will launch December 1, 2026, with programming centered on Kentucky, its neighboring states, and the people and culture of the heartland.
The service is planned to be available worldwide, giving regional productions a new way to reach audiences at home and beyond, according to a news release.
Leading the launch is Bachelor Santa, filmed entirely in Owensboro, which will make its streaming debut December 1 after a successful theatrical run across multiple states during
“There’s all these great movies being made right here in Kentucky,” said Winton. Movi Vault grew from the team’s work in production and distribution and their desire to connect those films with audiences who recognize the communities on screen.
The launch lineup also includes the first two episodes of Rear Ended, an original workplace comedy set in a personal injury law office. Filmed in Owensboro, the mockumentary series brings the personalities and daily chaos of a law firm to the screen.
Planned programming includes feature films, original series, documentaries, community events, tourism and travel features, and sports instruction, along with boxing, kickboxing, and MMA. The team is targeting approximately 100 hours of new content each month, with releases scheduled overtime to keep the library growing.
“We want to have content that people here resonate with,” said Kilday. The platform also plans to license work from Kentucky filmmakers and students, including short films, creating additional opportunities for regional creators to reach viewers and earn revenue from their work.
