Unknown Impact Closes Panther Creek Bridge on KY 81

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (May 21, 2020) – The Panther Creek Bridge in southern Daviess County has suffered another impact resulting in the indefinite closure of the bridge. The structure was hit by an over-sized load that damaged every cross member along the top portion of the bridge. Traffic on KY 81 will be routed along a marked detour. Motorists should use appropriate caution along the detour. Approximately 5,200 vehicles cross the bridge each day.
