DIED AT HIS HOME.  HE RETIRED AS A GENERAL MANAGER WITH DEMPEWOLF FORD.  HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS SIBLINGS, PAULINE BAKER, WILLIAM BOYD GRAY, DOROTHY PARIS AND ROY MASON GRAY.

 

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

HIS WIFE OF 40 YEARS      SHEILA GRAY

6 CHILDREN             LEANNE WEST, BOBBY WAYNE GRAY, JR., CATHRINA JEAN SIMPSON,

DIED FRIDAY, MAY 29, 2020 AT METHODIST HEALTH.  A U.S. AIRFORCE VETERAN, HE WAS A 40-YEAR MEMBER OF THE LOCAL 12 CRANE OPERATORS UNION.  HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN LEGION WORSHAM POST NO. 40 WHERE HE WAS ON THE BURIAL DETAIL AND WORKED TO GET THE CROSS DISPLAY IN CENTRAL PARK TO HONOR LOCAL VETERANS.  HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY A DAUGHTER, DENA LADON OWENS.

DIED FRIDAY, MAY 22, 2020 AT CHRISTIAN HEALTH CENTER IN HOPKINSVILLE.  SHE RETIRED FROM MUNDAY, LACY AND PEDEN INSURANCE AFTER 28 YEARS OF SERVICE AND THEN WORKED FOR MURRAY STATE UNIVERSITY SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICE FOR OVER 13 YEARS.  SHE WAS A LIFELONG DISCIPLE OF CHRIST AND A MEMBER OF FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH WHERE SHE SERVED SEVERAL YEARS AS SECRETARY.  SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, FRANK BAINBRIDGE LACY.

DIED FRIDAY, MAY 29, 2020.  HE WAS A MEMBER, SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER AND DEACON OF HENDERSON GENERAL BAPTIST CHURCH.  HE SERVED IN THE U.S. COAST GUARD AND WELDED ON SHIPS SUCH AS THE LST.  HE LATER WORKED MANY YEARS AS A BUTCHER FOR AREA STORES SUCH AS A & P AND GREAT SCOT.  HE WAS A TALENTED MEMBER OF THE WOOD CARVING ASSOCIATION.  HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS WIFE, LOTTIE CLAYTON, A SON DORRIS WAYNE “DORRISIE” CLAYTON, AND BY A BROTHER, NATHANIEL CLAYTON.
