HART to offer free bus rides on primary election DAY

One polling place to be open at Henderson County High School

HENDERSON, KY, June 22, 2020– Henderson Area Rapid Transit will offer free bus transportation on Primary Election Day, June 23, for those who show their “I Voted” sticker.

Due to changes dictated by the COVID-19 pandemic, there is one centralized location at Henderson County High School for voting on Primary Election Day. The HART “Shopper Shuttle” bus route will stop near the main entrance to HCHS, according to HART Superintendent Brenda Wethington.

Wethington suggests that voters who want to access the bus do so as early as possible to make sure they have plenty of time to go through the voting process and for riding the bus route back home.

Those requesting a complimentary ride are asked to exit the bus at HCHS and to show their “I Voted” sticker when returning to the bus at the same location.
