ROBERT S. FRIELDS            77       OF HENDERSON

DIED TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2020 AT HIS HOME.  HE WAS A 1961 GRADUATE OF HOLY NAME HIGH SCHOOL AND A 1966 GRADUATE OF UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY, WHERE HE RECEIVED A BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING.  A LIFE MEMBER OF THE UK ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, HE OWNED HENDERSON INSULATION COMPANY FOR 27 YEARS AND WAS A MEMBER OF LOCAL 37 HEAT AND FROST INSULATORS.  HE WAS A BOAT RACER, HAVING WON MANY CHAMPIONSHIP RACES IN NOA AND APBA.  A LIFELONG MEMBER OF HOLY NAME OF JESUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, HE WAS A CHARTER MEMBER OF THE HOLY NAME MEN’S CLUB; WAS A BOY SCOUT LEADER, DEN LEADER FOR PACK 50 AND WAS COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN FOR TROOP 280.

 

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

HIS WIFE OF 51 YEARS      ALICE

2 CHILDREN             STEPHEN “MATT” FRIELDS OF HENDERSON AND

                                      ELAINE THOMAS OF EAST GREENWICH, RHODE ISLAND

4 SIBLINGS               JIM FRIELDS AND VALERIE WATSON, BOTH OF HENDERSON,

                                     ANGIE FRIELDS OF EVANSVILLE AND

                                     TOM FRIELDS OF ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA

2 GRANDCHILDREN, NIECES AND NEPHEWS

 

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE 10 AM SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2020 AT HOLY NAME OF JESUS CATHOLIC CHURCH

FATHER GARY CLARK WILL OFFICIATE

PRIVATE FAMILY BURIAL WILL BE IN ST. LOUIS CEMETERY

THERE WILL BE NO VISITATION

RUDY ROWLAND FUNERAL HOME IS IN CHARGE OF THE ARRANGEMENTS

EXPRESSIONS OF SYMPATHY MAY TAKE THE FORM OF CONTRIBUTIONS TO HOLY NAME OF JESUS CATHOLIC CHURCH OR TO ST. ANTHONY’S HOSPICE

CYRIL THORTON COOTS, JR.        71       OF ROBARDS

DIED TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2020.  HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS WHERE HE SERVED IN MANY LEADERSHIP CAPACITIES.  HE RETIRED FROM DANA CORPORATION AFTER 39 YEARS OF SERVICE AND FOR THE LAST 9 YEARS WORKED FOR HENDERSON COUNTY SCHOOLS AS A BUS DRIVER.  HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY 3 BROTHERS, WAYNE, J.T. AND ALVIN AND BY A SISTER, DOROTHY.

 

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

HIS WIFE OF 48 YEARS      MARY

4 CHILDREN           JASON COOTS AND MELISSA EVANS, BOTH OF HENDERSON

                                    CRAIG COOTS OF CHANDLER, INDIANA AND

                                    SABRINA MURPHY OF RICHLAND, MISSOURI

3 BROTHERS, 4 SISTERS AND

18 GRANDCHILDREN AND 4 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN

 

PRIVATE FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD

PRESIDENT BRICE ANDERSON WILL OFFICIATE

BURIAL WILL BE IN ROSELAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS

FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 4 TO 8 PM THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2020 AND FROM 9 TO 10:30 AM FRIDAY AT TOMBLINSON FUNERAL HOME HENDERSON CHAPEL
