KENNETH E. MONTGOMERY       82       OF HENDERSON

DIED FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2020 AT DEACONESS GATEWAY MEDICAL CENTER IN NEWBURGH.  HE WORKED FOR PAUL SMITH AND NATIONAL FENCE COMPANY AND THEN WAS EMPLOYED BY THE INTERNATIONAL IRON WORKERS LOCAL NO. 103 FOR 16 YEARS.  KENNETH THEN WORKED FOR OVER 25 YEARS AT BENTON GLUNT FUNERAL HOME AND TAPP FUNERAL HOME BEFORE RETIRING IN 2000 BUT CONTINUED PART TIME IN A SUPPORT STAFF POSITION FOR MANY YEARS.  HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS SECOND WIFE, FAY CONEY MONTGOMERY, BY A SISTER, DORIS CRAVENS AND A BROTHER, HERBERT MONTGOMERY.

HIS DAUGHTER       TINA MOORE OF HENDERSON

1 SON            EUGENE MONTGOMERY OF COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO

3 STEPCHILDREN        LISA THOMAS, DEBRA WALKER AND CRAIG MINOR, ALL OF HENDERSON

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE 1 PM THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2020 AT BENTON GLUNT & TAPP FUNERAL HOME, A LIFE CELEBRATION HOME

DIED FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2020 AT DEACONESS GATEWAY MEDICAL CENTER IN NEWBURGH.  A U.S. MARINE VETERAN, HE RETIRED FROM SHEET METAL LOCAL WORKERS UNION 20 OF EVANSVILLE.  A KENTUCKY COLONEL, HE WAS A MEMBER OF ZION BAPTIST CHURCH WHERE HE SERVED AS A GREETER.  HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY 2 SONS, JOHNNY RAY ABRAMS, AND TONY ABRAMS AND BY A HALF BROTHER, JOY O’NEAL ABRAMS.

HIS WIFE OF 41 YEARS      PEALEE ABRAMS

2 DAUGHTERS         BRENDA WOMACK AND KATHY HILL

DIED THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2020 AT DEACONESS GATEWAY MEDICAL CENTER IN NEWBURGH.  HE WAS AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF ST. AUGUSTINE CATHOLIC CHURCH, WHERE HE SERVED ON THE PARISH COUNCIL.  HE WAS A RETIRED IRON WORKER AND WAS CURRENTLY A SCHOOL BUS DRIVER WITH HENDERSON COUNTY SCHOOLS.

DOROTHY LOUISE SAUNDERS TERRY                92       OF HENDERSON

DIED THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2020 AT REDBANKS NURSING HOME.  SHE WAS A 1946 GRADUATE OF DOUGLASS HIGH SCHOOL AND ATTENDED KENTUCKY STATE UNIVERSITY.  SHE WAS A MEMBER OF GREATER NORRIS CHAPEL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH WHERE SHE SERVED ON THE MOTHER’S BOARD, USHER BOARD, YOUNG MATRONS AUXILLARY, WAS A MEMBER OF THE WOMEN’S ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS AND HELPED WITH VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL.  SHE RETIRED FROM HENDERSON COUNTY SCHOOLS IN 1990 AS A TEACHER’S AID.  SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, GARFIELD TERRY WHO DIED IN 1983 AND BY A BROTHER, HENRY A. SAUNDERS, II IN 1985.
