A Henderson man is recovering from bullet wounds sustained when someone tried to break into his home. Henderson City Police say
the shooting occurred around 5:20 this morning in the 300 block of Letcher Street at the home of 24-year old Rahzel Parker. Parker
told police an unknown black male attempted to enter his home and as he confronted the suspect in the rear entryway the suspect began shooting at him.
Authorities say Parker suffered gunshot wounds to his head and his back. The suspect then fled the scene.
Parker was taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville and has since been released. The investigation is currently ongoing. No arrests have yet been made.
