Downtown Henderson Partnership hosting event
HENDERSON, KY, June 30, 2021- Downtown Henderson Partnership, with support from the City of Henderson and other partners,
will celebrate Independence Bank's July 4th Celebration on Saturday, July 3, on the riverfront.
The event, which returns following a hiatus in 2020 during the COVID-10 pandemic, will feature the annual fireworks show,
live music and several foods trucks.
Food trucks will be located adjacent to Audubon Mill Park starting at 5 p.m. The Old Dam Community Band also will have a
concert in the park from 6:30-8 p.m. The fireworks show is planned for approximately 9:15 p.m.
Water Street will be closed from First Street to Fifth Street starting at 5 p.m. and will re-open shortly after the
completion of the fireworks. Boats that are not launched before 5 p.m. should plan to use the Hays Boat Ramp.
Fireworks will not be launched from the water this year.
Spectators for the fireworks show are advised to use Audubon Mill Park, Red Banks Park, the overlook above Red Banks Park
or other locations with a broad view of the riverfront.
Additional sponsors for the event are the Beaven Family Foundation and Henderson Tourist Commission.
