City of Henderson temporarily closes Collections lobby

HENDERSON, KY, August 23, 2021- Because of staffing issues related to COVID exposures, the City of Henderson has
temporarily closed the lobby in the Henderson Municipal Center where utility bills and other payments are made to
in-person traffic.
Customers are asked to use the drive-through windows of the building located at 222 First St. until the lobby
can be reopened or use other methods of payment. There's a drop box for collecting payments in the parking lot of
The Depot Welcome Center on Water Street.
To conduct business with other offices in the Henderson Municipal Center (such as the business licensing office
or administrative offices), visitors can enter the vestibule of the entrance off First Street ask the receptionist
to contact the office they need.
Because of the recent surge in COVID-19 cases in Henderson County, throughout Kentucky and the Tri-state,
the city is again requiring all employees, customers and visitors to wear face masks when inside City buildings,
facilities and vehicles.
The City also encourages everyone to become vaccinated against COVID-19 to assist in stopping the outbreak of new cases.
