JUDGE TOMMY WAYNE CHANDLER 84 OF PROVIDENCE
DIED THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2021. A VETERAN AND A MEMBER OF THE ARMY NATIONAL GUARD, HE ATTENDED EVANSVILLE COLLEGE AND MURRAY STATE UNIVERSITY AND GRADUATED FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY COLLEGE OF LAW IN 1965. HE REPRESENTED THE WEBSTER COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION FOR MORE THAN 25 YEARS AND ALSO SERVED AS PROVIDENCE CITY ATTORNEY, WEBSTER COUNTY ATTORNEY, ASSISTANT COMMONWEALTH ATTORNEY AND COMMONWEALTH ATTORNEY. HE ALSO SERVED WEBSTER, UNION, AND CRITTENDEN COUNTIES AS CIRCUIT JUDGE. AFTER RETIREMENT, HE SERVED AS A MEMBER OF THE STATE PERSONNEL BOARD. A MEMBER OF PROVIDENCE GENERAL BAPTIST CHURCH, HE WAS ALSO A LONG-TIME DIRECTOR OF INDEPENDENCE BANK. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY A SON, KENT.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE 11 AM MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2021 AT PROVIDENCE GENERAL BAPTIST CHURCH

FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 9 AM TO SERVICE TIME MONDAY AT THE CHURCH WHERE MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED
