Time to Shine for Special Needs in the Tri-State
Henderson, KY: Healing Reins of Kentucky, Inc. is pleased to host our annual “Diamonds and Denim” gala on Friday, October 8th at the Evansville Country Club. This is Healing Reins’ one and only fundraiser in 2021 and the public’s support will directly fund Healing Reins programs; therapeutic riding, equine-assisted learning and veteran’s programs. Our Mission is “to assist individuals with special needs in reaching their full potential through interaction with horses”.
Begin your evening with appetizers and drinks during our social cocktail hour. Enjoy a delicious dinner at the exclusive Evansville Country Club and dance to Nashville Band “Stretta”. Special guest speaker is Commander Kirk Lippold, USN (Ret.), the Commanding Officer of the USS Cole when it came under a suicide terrorist attack by al Qaeda in the port of Aden, Yemen. Commander Lippold is a renowned inspirational leadership speaker who focuses organizations and businesses on how to build a personal foundation of leadership. He is author of Front Burner – Al Qaeda’s Attack on the USS Cole that recounts the story of Al Qaeda’s bombing of his ship and the continuing ramifications for our national security.
Bid on exciting live auction items with Kevin Herron of Herron Auction. Proceeds raised will support Healing Reins programs; therapeutic riding, equine-assisted learning and veteran’s programs. Healing Reins is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization; all donations are tax-deductible and will remain local to assist participants in the tristate area.

Healing Reins of Kentucky, Inc. was established in 2016 and has been providing Equine-Assisted Services (EAS) to hundreds of participants in the tristate area. Healing Reins is a Member Center of PATH International, the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship. Healing Reins provides EAS for individuals with special needs. The goal of EAS is to assist children and adults in reaching their goals while engaging with the horse as a partner.
