On 07/15/2022 at 7:58 a.m. the Henderson Police Department responded to the intersection of KY 425 and Old Corydon Rd. in reference to a fatal collision between a Dodge van and a Kawasaki motorcycle. Authorities say 52-year-old Barry Lee Harper has been identified as the suspect who fled from the scene and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. Mr. Harper is described as a white male, 6′ tall, approximately 220lbs with green eyes and brown hair. It is possible Mr. Harper sustained injuries from the collision. Mr. Harper is a resident of Robards, KY with family members living in both Corydon and Henderson areas. The investigation is still ongoing, and the Henderson Police Department is asking the public to help locate Barry Lee Harper. Anyone with information on Mr. Harper and his whereabouts are urged to please contact HPD at 270-831-1295 or Crime Stoppers at 270-831-1111. If it is an emergency, please call 911. A charge of Leaving the Scene of an Accident – Failure to Render Aid – Serious Injury; a Class D Felony is pending in the case.
