Local Law Enforcement Conduct Narcotic Warrant Roundup


 

On August 5, 2022 the Henderson Police Department, Henderson County Sheriff Office, and the Kentucky State Police concluded a large scale narcotics trafficking investigation in Henderson County. A total of 49 defendants have been indicted by the Henderson Grand Jury with a total of 54 felony charges.

This investigation led to the initial seizure of 337 grams of methamphetamine ($33,700 street value), 17 grams of cocaine powder/crack ($1700 street value), 133 grams of synthetic marijuana ($1300 street value), 10 amphetamine pills ($100 street value), 280 grams of marijuana ($2800 street value), and one .22 caliber handgun.

Early this moming, members of the involved agencies along with Henderson County Probation and Parole performed a warrant roundup pursuant to the Henderson Grand Jury Indictments. A total of 19 people were located and arrested for the following:

Mark C. Scott (40) of Henderson, KY- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense > 2 grams Methamphetamine (3 counts)

Malik L. Tharp (27) of Henderson, KY- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense > 2 grams Methamphetamine, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense <2 grams Methamphetamine, Persistent Felony Offender II

Brendan Duncan (24) of Henderson, KY-Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense <2 grams Methamphetamine

Mason T. Blair (28) of Henderson, KY- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense <2 grams Methamphetamine

James E. Black (55) of Henderson, KY- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd or >Offense < 4 grams Cocaine (3 counts)

Arpaia Belle (22) of Henderson, KY- Failure to Appear, Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance 2nd Offense

During the warrant roundup, a search warrant was obtained and executed at 1321 Loeb Street in Henderson’s East End. A search of the residence resulted in the finding of 37 counterfeit Oxycodone pills suspected to contain Fentanyl, 236 grams of synthetic marijuana, and 13 grams of marijuana. Jamison Allen has been charged with Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs 1st Offense, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Offense (Carfentanil or Fentanyl Derivatives), and Possession of Marijuana in relation to the search warrant.
