The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office said they have arrested a Henderson man in connection with a bomb threat that was made on the Henderson County courthouse Thursday afternoon.
Authorities were notified of a bomb threat made on Twitter at approximately 2:30 Thursday afternoon. Kentucky State Police flagged the tweet and officials determined it was made by an individual in Henderson.
Due to safety concerns, the courthouse was evacuated and the building was shut down Thursday afternoon.
The Sheriff’s Department then located and charged 35-year-old Shawn P. Hobbs of Henderson with first-degree terroristic threatening. He is being held at the Henderson County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
