The Evansville Wartime Museum will be re-opening to the public Saturday, August 1st, 2020, from 10 am to 2 pm. The Museum has been closed since March in conjunction with State of Indiana COVID 19 guidelines.
Richard Kuhn, Evansville Wartime Museum Chairman, states: “The Museum will be operating a reduced schedule opening only on Saturdays in August. We anticipate returning to our normal schedule of Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday shortly.”
Masks will be required for all visitors and volunteers; masks will be available for purchase.
Six feet social distancing guidelines are required. Family members or groups can stay together while maintaining six feet distancing from other parties.
Seniors and individuals with serious medical conditions should consider visiting at a later time.
Detailed handouts describing the marked exhibits in each gallery are now available, in lieu of docent-guided tours.
Discounted admissions are available to medical professionals, first responders, and veterans as a way of thanking them for their service.
The Evansville Wartime Museum is located at 7503 Petersburg Road just off Highway 41 North near Evansville Regional Airport. For more information visit the museum’s website, evansvillewartimemuseum.org, or phone 812-424-7461.
