2021 was not even an hour old before Henderson County reported its first fatal traffic crash of the new year. Henderson County Sheriff’s deputies
and other First responders were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Middle Deleware road at 12:41 this morning. Upon investigation, deputies say
it appears the vehicle was traveling northwest when it slid off the road and into the woods. The vehicle struck a tree and caught fire. It appears the driver
was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of the crash. The identity of the driver remains unknown at this time. The investigation continues.
