2021 Reds HOF Collectible Bobblehead for July: Frank "Noodles" Hahn

Bobbleheads available Saturdays and Sundays in July

CINCINNATI (July 2, 2021) – The Reds Hall of Fame and Museum presented by Dinsmore is continuing its 2021 bobblehead series in July with Reds Hall of Famer Frank “Noodles” Hahn.

“Noodles” Hahn made quite a splash in his debut season with the Reds in 1899, posting a 23-8 record with a league-best 145 strikeouts and top-10 finishes in almost every other major statistical category. An exceptionally hard thrower, Hahn repeated his strikeout title in 1900 and 1901. His no-hitter in 1900 was the first for a major league pitcher in the 20th century. Hahn’s finest season was 1901. Pitching for a Reds club that won only 52 games, Hahn was credited with 22 victories — 42% of the team’s total that season. Hahn also led the league in strikeouts, complete games, innings pitched and shutouts.

Throughout his life, the “Noodles” nickname that was inspired by Hahn’s childhood practice of delivering chicken noodle soup to his father for lunch every day remained in place.

Hahn was posthumously inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame in 1963.

The bobblehead, presented by Dinsmore, is free with regular-price paid admission to the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum (or a Great American Ball Park tour) beginning Saturday, July 3rd at 10 a.m. and will be available Saturdays and Sundays throughout July, while supplies last.

Only 4,000 bobbleheads were produced and there is a limit of one bobblehead per visitor per day.
