This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast Missouri. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Patchy dense fog will be present through the mid-morning hours across southeast Missouri into southwest Illinois. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms this evening along and south of a line from Fulton to Murray to Hopkinsville in western Kentucky. Severe weather is not expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday Widespread showers and a few thunderstorms will bring a heavy rainfall and flooding threat to the region late Friday and Friday night. Two inches is likely from the Missouri Bootheel through much of west Kentucky. Instability is weak across our region and is mainly limited to the southern border region. However, given the strong wind fields expected, severe storms cannot be completely ruled out in those areas Friday night. Gusty northwest winds late Saturday through Sunday could lead to some uprooted trees and resultant damage and power outages due to the saturated soil across the region. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
