IMMEDIATE RELEASE |January 8, 2022 – Henderson, KY
Sandy Lee Songfest, Inc. is excited to announce that it is now accepting grant applications for the 2022 Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival. The Songfest says it remains committed to providing grants to local non-profits. The deadline for submission is February 1st, 2022. Applicants must agree to an interview, if requested. The grantee(s) will be notified by April 1, 2022. If your organization is selected to receive funds from SLW Songfest, members of your organization will be expected to help with aspects of the Songfest to be determined. For example, your organization may be expected to promote ticket sales or provide volunteers to staff venues or related events.
(Failure to comply may result in a reduction of the amount awarded)
The grantee(s) should:
- Be a non-profit organization primarily serving residents of Henderson County, Kentucky
- Have a commitment to long-range planning and financial accountability
- Have a sound plan for your project or program
- Benefit residents of Henderson County
Projects not eligible:
- A proposal to reduce or retire debt
- Political campaigns
- Travel expenses for groups such as bands or sports teams
- Event sponsorships, annual appeals and membership contributions
- Organizations outside Henderson
*In the event the Songfest is cancelled, grants may not be awarded.
The funds will be awarded after the completion of the 2022 festival. The grant application is available through our Facebook page and website at sandyleesongfest.com. Applications can be submitted via mail to: Sandy Lee Songfest Inc. PO Box 651 Henderson, KY 42419.

- Christian Community Outreach
- Cliff Hagan Boys and Girls Club of Henderson
- Imagination Library of Henderson
- Healing Reins of Kentucky
