On Tuesday night, March 14th, Lady Colonel soccer player Xzyia Turner signed to continue her athletic career playing for the Kentucky Wesleyan Lady Panthers.

 

 The first question when interviewing Xzyia was why Kentucky Wesleyan was the best fit for her, “It was my closest option to home to play soccer.”

 

The second question when interviewing Xzyia was what’s this moment feel like having just officially signed to play college soccer, and Xzyia responded with this, “I felt like I was spot on but I loved the support from my friends and family.”

 

The third question when interviewing Xzyia was who she would like to thank that made this day possible, “I’d like to thank God and my teammates, my coaches, and my friends and family.”

 

The fourth question when interviewing Xzyia was what are her plans academically and Xzyia responded with this, “I’m currently undecided but I plan on completing my basics and probably will be majoring in biology later if I still feel the same about what I want to do.”

 

The fifth question when interviewing Xzyia was her expectations for her senior season and the Lady Colonels soccer team this upcoming season, “What I expect for my senior season is to improve each year. Even (when) I’m gone I hope LCS(Lady Colonel Soccer) thrives more and more as the years go by. Even though I’m going in a different direction now LCS will always have my love and support from the years I spent with them.”

 

Last season Xzyia scored 6 goals in her senior year. The Lady Colonels will open the 2023 soccer season in early August with the first game and time TBD.
