On Wednesday afternoon, May 24th, Colonels senior baseball player Tim Wolfe signed to continue his academic and athletic career for the Brescia University Bearcats.

Wolfe talked about why Brescia University was the best fit for him, “Well I emailed other colleges too but Brescia was the first one. I went to visit their campus. It was pretty nice. I met their head coach, the head coach seemed pretty nice. Overall I just wanted to stay close to home and that’s where it was so I decided to go there and it seemed like it had a good team in general and I could help them out alot this coming up year.”

Wolfe discussed his academic plans while attending Brescia University, “I plan on going there to study accounting and economics.”

Wolfe discussed how it feels to be officially signed to be a college baseball player now, “It feels pretty good. I told my dad I would go play college ball and since he’s not here I made that a goal of mine to fulfill and I’ve fulfilled it, so I just made him proud.”

Wolfe talked about who he wanted to thank that made this day possible, “I would like to thank all my coaches and especially my mom because she’s the one who pushed me through everything, even whenever I didn’t want to go to play college ball here recently, she pushed me through it and I ended up signing with a pretty decent program.”

Wolfe discussed what attracted him to want to play college baseball at Brescia University, “I went on a visit, I met the head coach, and he asked me a few questions and I asked him a few questions and he seemed like a pretty nice guy to get along with and I feel like he could push me to be even better than what I am right now. I met a few teammates and they seemed pretty nice and easy to get along with so that’s what made me decide to go there.”

In his senior year so far, Tim has recorded 8 runs scored, 14 hits, 11 RBI’s, 3 doubles, walked 9 times, 8 stolen bases and batting .241 with 58 at bats.
