HENDERSON, KY, June 6, 2023– Beginning the week of July 10th City of Henderson residents will receive new sanitation collection bins.
Moving forward, residents will be required to place all trash they want collected in the City-issued bins with the lid closed. Trash not placed in the bins will not be collected.
The 96-gallon rolling cans will be delivered to each residents’ home for no additional charge. If someone needs an additional 96-gallon can there will be a $5 monthly charge for a minimum of six months.
The City of Henderson’s sanitation team is implementing the new cans to create a better and safer working environment for their employees.
“We hope this streamlined system will help us retain employees and cut down on the number of injuries,” said City of Henderson Sanitation Superintendent David Steele. “This is going to help create a cleaner city by having everything contained to cans with lids.”
Residents with questions or concerns may contact the City’s Sanitation Department at 270-854-2064
