CHARLES “CHARLIE” RAY SMITH                59        OF HENDERSON

DIED THURSDAY, JUNE 15TH, AT HIS HOME.  HE WORKED FOR TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME AND MONUMENT COMPANY, KENDALL DRILLING, GIBBS DIE CASTING, AND HIS LAST JOB WAS AT RHINE RIVER FARMS.  CHARLIE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS SON, CLAYTON SMITH, FATHER, UEL O’LEARY, BROTHER, JERRY SMITH, AS WELL AS HIS MENTOR, “PAPA PAUL” TOMPKINS.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

HIS WIFE OF 38 YEARS                     REBECCA SMITH

THE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE AT 2PM ON TUESDAY, JUNE 20TH, AT TOMBLINSON FUNERAL HOME

BROTHER THORNTON STANLEY WILL OFFICIATE

BURIAL WILL BE IN ROSELAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS

VISITATION IS FROM 10AM UNTIL 2PM ON TUESDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME

ELMER LEO RANSOM           96        OF HENDERSON

DIED FRIDAY, JUNE 16TH, AT THE LUCY SMITH KING CARE CENTER UNDER THE CARE OF ST. ANTHONY’S HOSPICE.  HE WORLKED IN TOOL AND DIE FOR THE WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION FOR MANY YEARS, LATER BECOMING THE APPRENTICESHIP DIRECTOR FOR THE INTERNATIONAL SKILLED TRADES UNION.  ELMER WAS ALSO A MEMBER OF THE SHRINERS, EVANSVILLE EAGLES AERIE #427, AND A KENTUCKY COLONEL.  HE WAS A MEMBER OF ADVANCED BAPTIST CHURCH.  HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS SISTER, LENA MAE DILLARD, HIS BROTHER, HAROLD RANSOM, AND A DAUGHTER, SHARON WILLIAMS.

FRIENDS AND FAMILY ARE INVITED TO ELMER’S LIFE CELEBRATION FROM 10AM UNTIL SERVICE TIME ON TUESDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME
