HENDERSON, KY, – Beginning the week of August 28th, 2023, City of Henderson residents are expected to begin using the green City issued trash bins they received in July.
Moving forward, residents will be required to place all trash they want collected in the green City-issued bins. Trash not placed in the bins will not be collected.
People can obtain an additional 96-gallon green trash bin for a $5 monthly charge. Residents must keep the bin for a minimum of six months.
At the end of the six months, residents can turn the bin back into the City’s Sanitation Department or continue using it and paying the additional $5 a month.
