LISA FAYE STONE                58                   OF HENDERSON

DIED SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5TH, AT HER HOME SURROUNDED BY FAMILY AFTER A YEAR LONG BATTLE WITH CANCER. LISA WORKED FOR HENDERSON COUNTY SCHOOLS FOR 18 YEARS AND WAS AN ELL TEACHER, TEACHING STUDENTS WHO SPEAK ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE. SHE WORKED AT BEND GATE ELEMENTARY, SPOTTSVILLE ELEMENTARY, AND CAIRO ELEMENTARY. OVER THE COURSE OF HER CAREER, SHE WORKED AT THE MAJORITY OF THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN HENDERSON. SHE GRADUATED FROM ALLEN COUNTY-SCOTTSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL IN 1983. LISA RECEIVED A BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION FROM MURRAY STATE UNIVERSITY AND A MASTERS IN LITERACY SPECIALIST FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF THE CUMBERLANDS. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF LIGHTHOUSE OUTREACH CHURCH.  IN ADDITION TO HER MOTHER, WANDA WINTERS, LISA WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER MATERNAL GRANDPARENTS, JESSIE AND NEMA DUNCAN; AND PATERNAL GRANDPARENTS, HENRY AND MAURINE WINTERS.

HER DAUGHTER                                          RACHEL TANAKA

HER FATHER                                                 REVEREND ALBERT WINTERS ALL OF HENDERSON

2 SISTERS                                                      DEBBIE MCCRAW OF MORGANFIELD

NIECES AND NEPHEWS

THE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 12PM ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 10TH, AT BENTON-GLUNT & TAPP FUNERAL HOME WITH PASTOR TIM WINTERS, PASTOR GREG LINDSEY, AND PASTOR DAVID STONE OFFICIATING.

BURIAL WILL FOLLOW AT ROSELAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS.

FRIENDS AND FAMILY ARE INVITED TO LISA’S LIFE CELEBRATION FROM 4PM UNTIL 8PM ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 9TH, AND AGAIN ON FRIDAY STARTING AT 8:30AM AT THE FUNERAL HOME

EXPRESSIONS OF SYMPATHY MAY TAKE THE FORM OF CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE FAMILY RESOURCE CENTERS OF BEND GATE, SPOTTSVILLE, AND CAIRO ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS.
