Henderson County Judge-Executive Judge Executive Brad Schneider has issued a burn ban for Henderson County due to the extreme dry conditions. This ban is effective immediately.
There are a couple of exemptions to the burn ban:
- Personal food preparation using outdoor gas or charcoal grills or other self-contained cooking platforms.
- Food preparation for community events such as burgoo or barbecues at which a city or volunteer fire department provides on-site fire protection.
All other open burning is prohibited.
