OBITUARIES FOR TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5TH, 2023

Katherine Marie (Todd) Gardner, 67, of Dixon, KY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY surrounded by family and loved ones.  She was a member of Providence General Baptist Church. Katherine loved her church family and her work as a hairdresser.  Katherine enjoyed life and was a blessing to those that knew her.  She loved her Maltipoo, Isabella, her family and was blessed with a great one.  Katherine was born to the late D.L. and Vivian Todd of Providence on November 15th, 1956. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Mark Gardner, of Dixon, KY; a daughter, Amy (Daniel) Northrup of Herndon, KY; 2 sons, Chad (CeeCee) Hankins of Naples, FL; Jarrod (Natalie) Hankins of Little Dixie, KY; 7 grandchildren, Tyler Northrup, Reese Hankins, Shalyn Northrup, Cecelia Hankins, Wade Hankins, Asher Hankins, and Walker Hankins.  Her surviving siblings are Larry (Robyn) Todd, Kay (Dennis) Travis, Mary (Joe) Phillips, and David (Jolinda) Todd, and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on December the 8th at 1 p.m. at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY.  Rev. Barry Cullen will officiate.  Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Providence, KY.  Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 7th, and from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

John B. Faught, age 70, of Henderson, KY, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN, following a long illness.

 

He was born on April 11, 1953. John resided in Henderson all of his life. He retired from Ideal American after 30 years. John was beloved by his family as he was the family Handy Man and could fix anything. He was often called upon by them to come to the rescue when anything broke. John also painted many years with his father-in-law, Pete Driskell, and brother-in-law, Michael Driskell.

 

John was preceded in death by his parents, Byrl and Bonnie Faught, and his daughter, Maggie May Faught.

 

He is survived by his Best Friend and Companion, Bella; his spouse of 51 years, Debra Faught, who he cherished; daughter, April Morales and her husband Barry; grandchildren, Ramsey Morales (Jesse) and Barry A. Morales; brother, Joe Faught (Sue); sisters: Susan Edwards (Joel), Barbara Jones (Greg), and Janet Faught Ross (Dub); as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to John’s Life Celebration from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, and again on Friday starting at 10:00 a.m. until service time at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY.  The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023, at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Nollmann officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Reed, KY.

 

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Henderson County Humane Society (203 Drury Ln, Henderson, KY 42420) or the New Hope Animal Rescue Center (526 Atkinson St, Henderson, KY 42420).
