The Colonels came away with a 65-41 win against the Muhlenberg County Mustangs Colonel Gym in Henderson in the Faupel Automotive Chevy GMC Ford Colonel Basketball Classic.

The leading scorers for the Mustangs tonight were Madox Jernigan with 14 points and 3 rebounds while Madix Brannon had 7 points and 6 rebounds. Kason Morris had 5 points and 3 rebounds while Jace Sommers had 3 points.  Gavin Groves had 2 points while Jase Jarvis scored 2 points. To round out the scoring, Ean Hardison had 2 points on the night.

The leading scorers for the Colonels tonight were Cooper Davenport with 18 points and 3 rebounds while Max Thompson had 8 points. Alec Satterfield had 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists while Dwaine Moss had 7 points. Elijah Suggs had 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 blocks while Yusef Sanogo Kendrick had 6 points and 4 rebounds. Cole Branson  had 4 points while Nick Belle had 4 points and 4 rebounds. Braden Williams had 2 points while Lacon McKinney had 2 points on the night.

The Mustangs shot 6 for 9 (66%) from the free throw line to the Colonels 4 for 10 (40%).  The Mustangs had a total of 23 rebounds while the Colonels had 34 total rebounds. The Mustangs committed 18 turnovers to the Colonels committing 11 turnovers on the night.

The Colonels improve to (8-1) on the season while the Mustangs fall to (4-6).
