Purples Stingy Defense too Much for Colonels

The Colonels suffered a 68-56 loss against the Bowling Green Purples on the road in Bowling Green in the German American Bank Classic.

The leading scorers for the Purples tonight was Mason Ritter with 17 points and 8 rebounds while Jace Wardlow had 13 points. MJ Wardlow had 12 points and 7 rebounds while Braylon Banks had 10 points and 4 rebounds. Deuce Bailey had 9 points and 3 rebounds while Luke Idlett had 4 points. Ishmael Holcomb had 2 points while Trevy Barber had 1 point on the night.

The leading scorers for the Colonels tonight was Cooper Davenport with 11 points while Alec Satterfield had 10 points and 5 assists. Elijah Suggs had 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks while Yusef Sanogo Kendrick had 9 points and 4 rebounds. Lacon McKinney had 8 points and 4 rebounds while Max Thompson had 7 points. To round out the scoring, Dwaine Moss had 2 points on the night.

The Purples shot 4 for 13 (31%) from the 3 point line to the Colonels 2 for 7 (29%). The Purples shot 18 for 24 (75%) free throw line to the Colonels 14 for 17 (82%). The Purples had a total of 29 rebounds while the Colonels had 20 total rebounds. The Purples committed 11 turnovers to the Colonels committing 17 turnovers on the night.

The Colonels fall to (12-2) on the season while the Purples improve to (13-4).
