The Henderson County Lady Colonels came away with a 20 point, 6th District Championship win over the Union County Bravettes, 55-35, at Colonel Gym in the 6th District Tournament Championship Game.
The leading scorers for the Bravettes was Lillian Goodloe with 14 points while Aspen Davis had 7 points and 4 rebounds. Jaci Curry had 6 points while Paige Steward had 4 points and 3 steals. To round out the scoring, Dana Curry scored 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds on the night.
The leading scorers for the Lady Colonels was Addy Gish with 20 points and 2 steals while Brooklyn Gibson had 11 points and 6 rebounds. A’Tylia Green had 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals while Rashia Cansler added 6 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Anna Kemp had 4 points and 3 steals while JaNyla Locher scored 3 points. Allyson Rideout recorded 2 points and 4 rebounds while Bella Estabrook added 1 point on the night.
The Bravettes shot 6 for 12 (50%) from the free throw line to the Lady Colonels 18 for 23 (78%). The Bravettes shot 3 for 12 (25%) from behind the three point line to the Lady Colonels 5 for 16 (31%). The Bravettes had a total of 30 rebounds while the Lady Colonels had 23 total rebounds in the game. The Bravettes recorded 6 assists, 6 steals, and 5 blocks while the Lady Colonels recorded 12 steals, 7 assists, and 3 blocks. The Bravettes committed 27 turnovers to the Lady Colonels committing 12 turnovers on the night.

The Lady Colonels with the win, win their 4th straight 6th District Championship and their 26th in school history.
The Lady Colonels improve to (22-7) on the season while the Bravettes fall to (14-13) record.
