Waller named KSBA’s 2024 School Board Member of the Year

Henderson County School Board of Education Chairman Mike Waller has received the 2024 School Board Member of the Year award.

The Kentucky School Boards Association presented the award during its recent KSPA Annual Conference Luncheon.

“I would like to accept this award today on behalf of more than 1,000 classified and certified employees of the Henderson County School District,” said Waller. “One of the greatest teams I’ve ever worked with.”

Waller represents District 4 for the Henderson County Schools Board of Education. He has served on and off the school board since 1989.

Waller is a 1973 graduate of Henderson City High School. After graduation, he attended several institutions to study business management and business administration, including Henderson Community College, Three Rivers Junior College, Western Kentucky University and the University of Tennessee.
