The Henderson County Lady Colonels came away with a 28 point win over the Crittenden County Lady Rockets, 72-44, in the opening round of the 2nd Region Tournament at Trigg County High School in Cadiz.
The leading scorers for the Lady Rockets was Anna Boone with 21 points and 5 rebounds while Jordyn Hodge had 9 points and 5 rebounds. Elliot Evans had 6 points and 5 rebounds while Bristyn Rushing had 4 points and 8 rebounds. Andrea Federico scored 2 points and grabbed 3 rebounds while Abigail Champion added 2 points on the night.
The leading scorers for the Lady Colonels was A’Tylia Green with 16 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals while Brooklyn Gibson had 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Allyson Rideout had 16 points and 6 rebounds while Rashia Cansler added 9 points and 3 steals. Addy Gish scored 7 points and recorded 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals while Anna Kemp had 4 points and 4 rebounds. To round out the scoring, Jersey Gardner added 4 points on the night.
The Lady Rockets shot 7 for 19 (78%) from the free throw line to the Lady Colonels 9 for 13 (69%). The Lady Rockets shot 1 for 11 (9%) from behind the three point line to the Lady Colonels 7 for 19 (37%). The Lady Rockets had a total of 31 rebounds while the Lady Colonels had 29 total rebounds in the game. The Lady Rockets recorded 4 assists, 6 steals, and 2 blocks while the Lady Colonels recorded 15 steals, 15 assists, and 4 blocks. The Lady Rockets committed 19 turnovers to the Lady Colonels committing 8 turnovers on the night.
The Lady Colonels improve to (23-7) on the season while the Lady Rockets end their season with a (19-14) record.
