The Henderson County Lady Colonels came away with a 18 point win over the Christian County Lady Colonels, 58-40, in the semifinals of the 2nd Region Tournament at Trigg County High School in Cadiz.

The leading scorers for Christian County was Anaysia Bagwell with 15 points and 7 rebounds while Lazarie Daniel had 12 points and 7 rebounds. NeVaeh Day had 6 points and 11 rebounds while Debony Anderson had 6 points and 6 rebounds. To round out the scoring, Genesis McGee added 1 point on the night.

The leading scorers for Henderson County was A’Tylia Green with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals, and 3 rebounds while Allyson Rideout had 13 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Addy Gish had 11 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals while Brooklyn Gibson added 9 points. Anna Kemp scored 7 points and recorded 6 rebounds while Rashia Cansler had 3 points on the night.

Christian County shot 8 for 14 (57%) from the free throw line to Henderson County who was 9 for 16 (56%). Christian County shot 2 for 12 (17%) from behind the three point line to Henderson County who was 3 for 17 (18%). Christian County had a total of 49 rebounds while Henderson County had 32 total rebounds in the game. Christian County recorded 5 assists, 7 steals, and 3 blocks while Henderson County recorded 11 steals, 12 assists, and 1 block. Christian County committed 17 turnovers to Henderson County committing 12 turnovers on the night.

The Henderson County Lady Colonels had 2 players named to the All-2nd Region Team, in sophomore forward Brooklyn Gibson not pictured above and junior forward Allyson Rideout.

Henderson County improves to (24-7) on the season while Christian County ended their season with a (18-10) record.
