The Henderson County Lady Colonels came away with a 22 point win over the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm,  55-33, in the 2nd Region Championship Game at Trigg County High School in Cadiz.

The leading scorers for Lady Storm was Calajia Mason with 12 points and 6 rebounds while Addie Menser had 9 points. Tyah White had 9 points and 10 rebounds while Kenzleigh Harrison had 3 points on the night.

The leading scorers for the Lady Colonels was A’Tylia Green with 16 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 assists while Addy Gish had 12 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 steals. Allyson Rideout had 9 points and 3 rebounds while Anna Kemp added 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 steals. JaNyla Locher scored 5 points while Rashia Cansler had 2 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. To round out the scoring, Callie Burnett tallied 2 points and 2 rebounds on the night.

The Lady Storm shot 11 for 22 (50%) from the free throw line to the Lady Colonels who were 7 for 8 (88%). The Lady Storm shot 2 for 7 (29%) from behind the three point line to the Lady Colonels who were 2 for 22 (9%). The Lady Storm had a total of 30 rebounds while the Lady Colonels had 35 total rebounds in the game. The Lady Storm recorded 5 assists, 8 steals, and 2 blocks while the Lady Colonels recorded 22 steals, 14 assists, and 1 block. The Lady Storm committed 31 turnovers to the Lady Colonels committing 10 turnovers on the night.

Lady Colonels sophomore guard A’Tylia Green broke the single season steals record with 129 steals on the season at the end of the night Saturday night at Wildcat Gym in Cadiz breaking the previous record set in the 2004-2005 season by Ashley Hawkins who had 127 steals.

The Henderson County Lady Colonels had 4 players named to the 2nd Region All-Tournament Team, from left to right, sophomore guard Addy Gish, junior forward Allyson Rideout, sophomore guard A’Tylia Green, and sophomore forward Brooklyn Gibson.

The Lady Colonels improve to (25-7) on the season while the Lady Storm ended their season with a (20-15) record.
