Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Collision in Webster County


Dixon, Ky.  – On March 23, 2024, at approximately 3:53 p.m. (CT), the Webster County Sheriff’s Department requested KSP Post 2 to investigate a fatal collision on Ky 56 in Dixon.

Preliminary investigation revealed that William D. Cutteridge, 59, of Dixon, Ky was operating a 2004 Toyota Corolla East on Ky 56. For unknown reasons, Mr. Cutteridge entered a curve and lost control. The vehicle exited the right side of the road, crossed a culvert, and struck a tree.

William D. Cutteridge was flown from the scene to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville where he succumbed to his injuries. A passenger in the vehicle Angie D. Cutteridge, 59, of Dixon, Ky was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Webster County Coroner.

The investigation is ongoing by Accident Reconstructionist Trooper Patrick Penrod. He was assisted on scene by additional Post 2 personnel, the Webster County Sheriff’s Department, Clay Police Department, Providence Police Department, Webster County EMS, PHI Air Ambulance, Webster’s Towing, and the Dixon Fire Department.
