An Owensboro man has been charged in connection with a robbery that occurred at Cricket Wireless in Henderson on Tuesday afternoon.
Henderson Police Department officers responded at approximately 12:35 p.m. Tuesday to the Cricket Wireless at 2640 U.S. 41-N in reference to an armed robbery.
A couple hours later, authorities apprehended the suspect, Maurice Watkins, of Owensboro, and took him into custody.
Watkins faces charges of first-degree robbery in Henderson, as well as additional robbery charges in other counties.
HPD was assisted with the investigation by Hopkinsville Police Department, Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, and Owensboro Police Department.
