A Henderson man is accused of robbing a teenager at gunpoint outside of a local convenience store.
Henderson Police Department said they located and arrested Jordan Smith, 26, of Henderson, in Woodland Apartments on Thursday, April 18. Smith was charged with first-degree robbery.
The charge stems from an incident on Nov. 24, 2023, when Smith allegedly approached a 15-year-old and pointed a gun at him in front of AJ’s Market on Madison Street.
Smith allegedly told the teen to empty his pockets while holding a gun on him. Police said that Smith then took the boy’s bicycle before dumping it a short distance away.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Smith was lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center. He is being held on a $10,000 bond.
