Anita Louise Nunn
Anita Louise Nunn, age 83, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 5:49 a.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the Lucy Smith King Care Center under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.
Anita married Ronald Nunn on September 12, 1958, at Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church in Henderson, KY, where together they were faithful members for many years. She worked for Farm Bureau and International Union of Operating Engineers Union #181 for many years as the secretary of claims. Anita enjoyed canning vegetables from her garden and making friendship bread to share. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly and had always stayed closely involved in their lives.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Dorothy Doss, brother Donald G. Doss, and great-grandson Keaton Tyler Mathis.
Anita is survived by her husband of 65 years Ronald W. Nunn of Henderson, KY; daughters: Bonnie Boom of Henderson, KY, Kathy McCoy (Chris) of Prospect, KY, and Tammy Below (Scott) of Oviedo, FL; son Bill Nunn (Teresa) of Henderson, KY; 9 grandchildren: Brandon Boom (Jessica), Kristin Mathis (Mike Wethington), Corey McCoy (Erin), Matt McCoy, Weston Below, Tanner Below, Addy Oliver (Zach), Lauren Nunn, and Chelsea Hixenbaugh (Austin), and 8 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to Anita’s Life Celebration from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time on Saturday at Benton-Glunt and Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the funeral home with Reverend Mary Wrye officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
