Henderson County High School Career and Technical Education Department Career Signing set for May 2nd


The Henderson County High School Career and Technical Education unit will host their CTE Banquet and Career Signing at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2nd at the Lumber Yard Event Center.

The Career Signing provides a platform for students to publicly declare their post-graduation plans, whether it be entering the workforce or embarking on entrepreneurial endeavors.

“This event marks a significant milestone in the journey of our graduating seniors as they commit to their chosen career paths. We invite our community leaders, families, and businesses to join us in celebrating the accomplishments,” adds CTE Principal Amanda Lacer.

Thirty-seven students will be signing with 21 local businesses at approximately 6:30 p.m.

“The Career Signing Event is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and the support they receive from our dedicated staff. Through hands-on learning experiences, industry partnerships, and professional certifications, the HCHS CTE unit prepares our students for success,” said Henderson County Schools Superintendent Bob Lawson.

The Henderson County High School Career and Technical Education Unit is one of the largest single CTE programs in the state of Kentucky. The HCHS CTE Unit offers a program of study in the following Career Pathways: Agriculture, Business, Construction, Engineering and Technology, Family and Consumer Science, Health Science, Information Technology, Law and Public Safety, Manufacturing Technology, Marketing, Media Arts, Transportation, and Welding.
