The Henderson County Lady Colonels came away with a, 66-49, win against the Lyon County Lady Lyons at home yesterday afternoon.
The leading scorers for the Lady Lyons was Trinity Taylor with 16 points and 8 rebounds while Piper Cotham had 12 points and 6 rebounds. Courtney Collins tallied 9 points and 9 rebounds while Jenna Coursey added 6 points and 5 rebounds. Lilly Perry contributed 4 points and 3 rebounds while Audrey Akridge had 2 points on the afternoon.
The leading scorers for the Lady Colonels was Allyson Rideout with 18 points and 13 rebounds while A’Tylia Green had 17 points, 5 steals, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds. Brooklyn Gibson had 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals while Rashia Cansler had 8 points. Anna Kemp had 3 points and 5 rebounds while Addy Gish tallied 3 points and 5 assists. To round out the scoring, Azayah Hall added 2 points on the afternoon.
The Lady Lyons shot 9 for 15 (60%) from the free throw line to the Lady Colonels who were 4 for 8 (50%). The Lady Lyons shot 2 for 8 (25%) from behind the three point line to the Lady Colonels who were 8 for 24 (33%). The Lady Lyons had a total of 35 rebounds while the Lady Colonels had 35 total rebounds in the game. The Lady Colonels recorded 16 assists, 14 steals, and 3 blocks. The Lady Lyons committed 21 turnovers to the Lady Colonels who committed 8 turnovers on the afternoon.
The Lady Colonels improve to (18-4) on the season while the Lady Lyons fall to (16-7).
