The Henderson County Lady Colonels (2-4) dropped a road contest Monday night, falling 61-35 to the Castle Lady Knights (11-4) in Paradise.
Castle built an early advantage, leading 16-9 after the opening quarter and taking a 27-21 edge into halftime. The Lady Knights pulled away in the second half, extending the lead to 44-26 after three quarters and closing out the win.
Senior A’Tylia Green led Henderson County with 11 points. Sophomore Callie Burnett added eight, while Jersey Gardner finished with six. JaNyla Locher scored four, and Addy Gish, Maggee Melvin, and Nevaeh Dixon each chipped in two.
The Lady Colonels return home Tuesday night, hosting Mater Dei (6-3) with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
