What is your age: I am 68 yrs old
Please provide family background. I am married to Sherri who works at Deaconess Henderson Hosp together we have 5 adult children and 8 grandkids.
What is your educational background? I graduated from UK Henderson Community College Program with my RN degree
I also Graduated from Eastern Ky University Law Enforcement Academy as a Ky Certified Law Enforcement Officer
Crisis Intervention Certified from the State of KY
I also received my Dementia Practitioner Certification and CDC Infection Control Certificate
Have you been elected to a political office previously? I was elected as Constable District 2 many, many years ago.

Why are you running for office? If elected to office, what would be your top three goals?
I am running for the Office of Coroner.
I want to see this office become more proactive in the Henderson Community in Education on Prevention and Preparedness
Second, I want to seek more training for the current staff on dealing with Infection/Virial situations
Third, Update the equipment at the current Coroner’s office to better handle potential Henderson County Crisis situations that may arise.
Why should people vote for you?
As a Law Enforcement officer dealing with all manner of Death such as Suicide-Medical-Crimes against Humanity etc. along with being an Emergency Room Nurse for many years and a Ambulance First Responder I feel this makes me a well-rounded and very well-trained Coroner.
As a small Business Owner, I understand a Budgett and how spending dollars wisely and financial responsibility work hand in hand. After all it’s your money.
I want to work to together to Educate all ages of our community in Prevention of Drug Use-Suicide-Thoughts of Harm to others and any other topics that arise. I want to work to put together a list off recourses that are available in our area to help prevent this from occurring. Any suicide in our community is 1 too many we need to band together to help alleviate this. Education and resources are the first steps.
I want work with local providers such as financial planners-Attorneys-The Courts-Funeral Homes-Medical Facilities-etc. to understand what to do after the death of a loved one and the big focus will be on how to prepare in advance such as living wills and Advanced Directives.
I feel our Coroner’s office to move the forefront of Community Education and not just sit back and wait for the phone to ring.
I have compassion for the health and well-being of our Henderson County Brothers and Sisters I ask for you Vote on May 19th to elect me Dewayne Reneer as the next Henderson County Coroner and may God Bless and keep each and every one of you.
