Why are you running for office? I feel my work in this role isn’t done. This position takes a lot of time and dedication to fully learn all the moving parts required to run a city. In serving my first term I’ve gained valuable experience, and built strong working relationships. My hope is to continue expanding that knowledge and use what I have learned to make thoughtful, informed decisions that move Henderson forward.
If elected to office, what would be your top three goals?
1. Financial Security-I think there is some uncertainty about the times we are living in. We are hearing the word “unprecedented” more often-ranging from natural disasters to global events. Its critical we keep the city in strong
financial standing so that we are prepared to take care of our community no matter what comes our way.
2. Grow/Strengthen Local Economy-I believe Henderson will have a tremendous opportunity with the I-69 corridor to attract new business. With that opportunity to attract new business, I think it’s a great time to evaluate what that process looks like and see where we can improve to make that a more user friendly experience.
3. Advocacy- Without advocacy, local needs and priorities risk being overlooked or misunderstood. There are ultimately decisions made outside of our control at times whether at the state or federal level. Policies, funding, infrastructure-i.e. Twin Bridges as an example. Its important we continue to communicate how decisions will impact our community overall. Sometimes that can move the needle from passive impact to active influence.
Why should people vote for you? I am seeking re-election because I care deeply about the future of Henderson and believe the work we’ve started needs to continue. This current term has given me additional experience, and perspective and I am committed to build on that momentum. Ultimately, this decision belongs to the voters. Each person should choose who best represents them-but I would be truly grateful for the opportunity to continue serving this community.
