Waverly Carter
Waverly Carter, age 79, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 12:04 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Redbanks Colonial Terrace in Sebree, KY.
Waverly was born to the late William Lessie and Annabell Carter on July 15, 1946. He worked in one of our
country’s most honorable professions; he was a farmer. Waverly was an avid hunter and, in keeping with that pastime, he was a gun enthusiast. He was a Kentucky Deputy Forester and a longtime volunteer fire fighter with Hebbardsville Fire Department. Waverly loved his family and was loved dearly in return.
In addition to his parents, Waverly was preceded in death by his son Waverly Carter II, and siblings: William Carter, Shirley Knight, and Cornelia Lutz.
Waverly is survived by his wife of 60 years Patricia Ellen Carter; son Michael Dwayne Carter and his wife Ann of Robards, KY; sisters Elizabeth Young of Vine Grove, KY and Mary Lou Cartwright of Phoenix, AZ; brother Michael Dudley Carter of Axle, TX; grandchildren: Chris Carter, Renee Carter, Max Carter, Curtis Carter, and William Carter; 5 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Waverly’s Life Celebration from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. Immediately following, the funeral procession will depart for the Carter Family Cemetery in Hebbardsville, KY for Waverly’s graveside service where all are welcome. Pallbearers will be Wavely’s grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Minnie Pearl Taylor
Minnie Pearl Taylor 82, of Henderson, KY formerly of Webster County, KY passed away on Monday April 27th, 2026 at Redbanks Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree, KY. Minnie was a devoted wife, mother, and most importantly a believer and follower of Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her husband William Earl Taylor. She is survived by her 3 sons Gary(Sharla) Owens of Clay, KY; Sammy Taylor of Poole, KY; and Dennis(Sheree) Taylor of Tilden, KY; a sister Linda Daniel of Henderson, KY; 3 brothers Bobby Owens of Tilden, KY; Darrell Owens and Pete Owens both of Henderson, KY; 4 grandchildren Jordan Owens, Daron Taylor, Makayla Morris and Canaan Taylor; 3 great grandchildren Chloe, Bryson and Riverlynn Taylor.
