It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mark S. Lynn of Princeton, Kentucky, formerly of Henderson, on April 28th, 2026, at 4:15 p.m.
Born on January 4th, 1952, in Henderson, Kentucky, Mark Lynn was the son of J.T. and Minnie Lynn. He dedicated 40 years of his career as an Aluminum worker at Alcan Aluminum, where he held various positions and cultivated numerous friendships.
Known for his vibrant personality, Mark had a passion for outdoor pursuits, including spending time in the woods and at Lake J. Lee (Lake Pewee) with his wife, children, and grandchildren, as well as enjoying truck rides with his dog, Dexter. He also looked forward to annual vacations with Debbie and Bobbie Bradford.
A memorable phrase often attributed to him was, “Well let me tell ya.” He previously served as a board member for HMP&L and the United Way. He was also recognized as a Kentucky Colonel and a 32° Mason. Mark will be remembered for his kindness, humor, generosity, and love.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark S. Lynn II, his father and mother, and other beloved individuals.
Mark is survived by his spouse, Roberta Lynn; his child, Jennifer Connell (Christopher); daughter in law, Julie Horne; grandchildren Nathaniel Connell, Dylan Connell (Kaitlyn), Adrianna Lynn, Noah Besing, and Spencer Boone; and one great-grandchild, Oliver Connell. He is also survived by his sisters, Deborah and Connie Lynn, one aunt, Pearl Beshears, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to Mark’s Life Celebration from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, and on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY, 42420. The memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the funeral home with Bobby Bradford and Steve House officiating.
