Class of 2026 Valedictorian - Liberty Townsend

Henderson County High School has announced its top academic honors for the Class of 2026.

The school’s Valedictorian—the highest academic achievement a graduate can earn—has been awarded to Liberty Townsend. The honor recognizes the senior with the highest GPA, reflecting years of dedication, late‑night studying, and exceptional academic excellence.

This year’s Salutatorian is Elizabeth Cleavenger, recognized for earning the second‑highest GPA in the graduating class. School officials say the distinction highlights her hard work, focus, and commitment throughout her high school career.

Henderson County High School has also named its Academic Hall of Fame recipients for 2026. Honorees include:

  • Math: Brett Haley
  • English: Abby Davis
  • Science: Liberty Townsend
  • Social Studies: Zoe Mills
  • Fine Arts: Diamond McGuire
  • Foreign Language: Nate Curneal
  • Career & Technical Education: Aubrie Woolfork

These students were selected by demonstrating exceptional achievement in their academic areas.
